On Haiti UN Guterres Lies About Resolving Sex Abuse While Covering Up Faux Regret for Cholera

By Matthew Russell Lee, Video here, Vine here

UN GATE, Jan 17 -- In Haiti where the UN brought cholera killing more than 10,000 people without paying a penny, the government in June shot at protesters near Champs Mars in the capital and a journalist, Radio Signal FM journalist Kény / Reynald Petit Frère and the UN said... nothing. This is a trend. Inside the UN UNSG Antonio Guterres had the Press roughed up and banned since, now for 563 days and counting.

Now on January 17 inside the UN from which he bans the Press Guterres made this misleading statement at a Haiti memorial: "Among the many challenges, the United Nations deeply regrets the loss of life and suffering caused by the cholera epidemic. I welcome the significant progress that has been made towards eliminating the disease. We are also committed to resolving pending cases of sexual exploitation and abuse."

Guterres uses the word regret reflexively; it is not a coming clean, much less one with any integrity. He says he is "resolving" sex abuse cases while he and Stephane Dujarric and Melissa Fleming cover up all if-asked information about the accelerating UN rapes under his "leadership." Guterres is a fraud, a censoring fraud. We'll have more on this.

On December 18 banned Inner City Press in writing asked Guterres and his spokespeople Stephane Dujarric and Melissa Fleming, "on UN sexual exploitation, what are the belated comments and actions if any of SG Guterres on the study that interviewed approximately 2,500 Haitians about the experiences of local women and girls living in communities that host peace support operations. Of those, 265 told stories that featured children fathered by UN personnel. That 10% of those interviewed mentioned such children highlights just how common such stories really are.  The narratives reveal how girls as young as 11 were sexually abused and impregnated by peacekeepers and then, as one man put it, “left in misery” to raise their children alone, often because the fathers are repatriated once the pregnancy becomes known. Mothers such as Marie are then left to raise the children in settings of extreme poverty and disadvantage, with most receiving no assistance."

Guterres, Fleming, Dujarric and now Farhan Haq are refusing to answer questions about current UN sexual abuse cases. They are covering up, and they are complicit.
