In SDNY As Uber Sues Uber Judge Castel Says More Full Opinions in April 2020 Than 2019

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - The Source

SDNY COURTHOUSE, May 26 –  In a case by Uber, Inc. -- an ad agency since 1999 --  versus Uber Technologies, the ride-share company, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge P. Kevin Castel on May 26 held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Judge Castel began as he does by asking each lawyer how he or she is doing in the pandemic. Then he said the SDNY in April issued 11,000 ordered, and more full decisions than in April 2019.

The Uber ad company lawyer appeared to be asking for advice or "guidance" on how to amend his complaint. Judge Castel said he wouldn't do that, but set another date for later in the week.

The case is Uber, Inc. v. Uber Technologies, Inc., 20-cv-2320 (Castel).
