SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 15 – Clifford Taylor is
70 years old and faced 60
months minimum on drug
charges.
On September 15 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Katherine Polk Failla held his
sentencing. Inner City Press
covered it.
Taylor's
lawyer emphasized his age. The
US Attorney's Office wanted a
guideline sentence of 121 to
151 months. Judge Failla
inquired, then took time to
reflect.
When she returned
she arrived at 84 months,
followed by four years of
supervised release.
