Man Who Threatened Fox News Got Deferred Prosecution Now Does It Again So Breathalyzer

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Maxwell Book
BBC - Honduras - CIA Trial Book - NY Mag

SDNY COURTHOUSE, August 18 – Jeffrey Rodriguez was Federal charged with making online threats against Fox News broadcasters and got a Deferred Prosecution Agreement in May 2022.

Now he has made threats again against the named Fox News parties, on Instagram, violation the DPA.

On August 18, 2022 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Barbara C. Moses held an in-person proceeding in the Mag Court, with Rodriguez and his Federal Defender. Inner City Press went and covered it.

The AUSA had written in that

"On August 9, the Government learned that Rodriguez had violated these terms [of the DPA] by posting comments that tagged onoe of the victims in this case, as well as another Fox News employee.

"While the Government would be on firm ground if it chose to 'rip up' the Agreement, it instead requests that the Court admonisgh Rodriguez and stress the potential serious consequences of violating the Agreement."

Rodriguez, slumped at the defense table, said he'd gone off his medication but was back on it. Psychotherapy will increase to twice a week, along with random breathalyzer tests.

"You will not get another change," Judge Moses said. Rodriguez left the SDNY courthouse.

The case is US v. Rodriguez, 21-mj-11534 (Moses)
