By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Maxwell Book
BBC - Honduras - CIA Trial Book - NY Mag

SDNY COURTHOUSE, August 8 – Angel Garcia was in detention on Riker's Island on April 15, 2019 when after he complained his meal was cold, he said Corrections Officer Palementeri slapped his feeding slot shut on his hand.

On August 5, 2022 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Katherine Polk Failla held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Angel Garcia has passed away. His mother has sought to be appointed Administrix of his estate, but said on August 5 that it has not been possible without the involvement of a Ms. Posphir and Mr. Morales.

Judge Failla gave until September 28 to file a motion to substitution, or face dismissal.

The case is Garcia v. Palmenteri et al., 19-cv-7441 (Failla)
