Equifax Is Sued Over Data Breach With IRS Harassment and PayPal Compromise Cited

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Maxwell book
BBC - Honduras - CIA Trial book - NY Mag

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Oct 11 – Brett Joshpe sued Equifax Information Services LLC alleging violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

On October 11, 2022, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Edgardo Ramos held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Josphe, a lawyer, cites the July 29, 2017 Equifax data breach. Since then, he has been harassed by the IRS, his credit rating has been reduced and his PayPal account has been compromised.

Judge Ramos ruled that the parties must submit competing discovery proposals by the end of business on October 12.

The case is Joshpe v. Equifax Information Services LLC, 19-cv-3146 (Ramos)
