Method Test Prep Is Sued For Inaccessible Website In SDNY But Lawyer Says No Standing

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Nov 3 – Domingo Pascual is a blind person who has sued Method Test Prep, Inc. for having an inaccessible website.

On November 3 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Ona T. Wang held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

The defendant's lawyer was dismissive of these ADA website cases, saying he had one recently in which a company which only sells to municipalities for water system was signed by an individual. When this was pointed out, the case was dropped.

Plaintiff's lawyer said this is different, his client during the COVID-19 pandemic got an interest in further education and therefore testing.

The case is  Pascual v. Method Test Prep, Inc., 21-cv-5777 (Carter / Wang)
