Lizardo was arrested on March
8 for being a felon in
possession of a firearm - and
selling one, in Washington
Heights.
On
April 22, 2021, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Judge Lewis A. Kaplan held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The docket
include a notion that
"defendant was housed in Essex
County where he was not given
a bed and had to sleep in a
wheelchair."
On April 22,
Inner City Press reported on
another inmate in the Essex
County Detention Facility
sleeping on the floor, in an
impact of the closing down of
the GEO private prison for
cooperators in Queens, without
sufficient planning.
