Chilean Case of Robbed Inheritance Turns To Museo De La Moda & Met Brooke Astor Analogy

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, April 27 –  Jorge Yarur Bascunan sued Fintair Finance and ten John Does for the robbing of his inheritance.

On April 27, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Talk has turned to the Museo De La Moda, the fashion museum in Chile that Jorge founded.

But what is his connection to it now? Judge Netburn pointed out the Brooke Astor gave money for wing of the Met - but doesn't own the Met.

The answer came that Chile, or this museum, is different.

The case is Bascunan et al v. Elsaca et al., 15-cv-2009 (Daniels / Netburn)
