Charged With Kilo of Heroin Boulevard Restaurant Worker Detained in SDNY

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - The Source

SDNY COURTHOUSE, July 22 –     Jason Pichardo, also known as Studs, was arrested on Federal charges involving one kilogram or more of heroin.

On July 22 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Barbara Moses held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Judge Moses first confirmed with Pichardo that he was entitled to a government paid lawyer. He said he worked off the books for tips at Boulevard Restaurant, making approximately $2,000 a month. He was assigned a lawyer.

His overall case is assigned to District Judge Lorna G. Schofield. AUSA Peter Davis asked that a control date of July 31 be set - it was - and Pichardo's lawyer said he consent to detention while inquiring into his New York State parole status.

The case is US v. Pichardo, 20-cr-369 (Schofield / Moses)
