Fentanyl Conspiracy in Mount Vernon On Cusp Of Plea But For Safety Valve Blocked by Covid

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Jan 20 –  For a conspiracy to distribute fentanyl in Mount Vernon and elsewhere, Miguel Antonio De La Cruz Rodriguez and Arsenio Genao Francisco were charged in early 2020.

On January 20, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Vernon S. Broderick held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Antonio De La Cruz Rodriguez' Federal Defender said he has basically agreed to a plea deal but needs to have the safety valve interview, which is made difficult by the BOP lock-down.

Arsenio Genao Francisco's CJA lawyer was a little less upbeat, saying while a disposition is possible, there might be motions.

The case is US v. De La Cruz Rodriguez, et al., 20-cr-147 (Broderick)
