Man Stopped in Connecticut With $240000 in Car Is Ordered Freed In SDNY Pending Extradition

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Maxwell Book
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY MAG COURT EXCLUSIVE, April 18 -  In the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on April 18, a detention or release proceeding was held by Magistrate Judge Stewart D. Aaron.

Inner City Press covers the SDNY Magistrates Court as it has The Bronx the tri-state, sometimes alone in the gallery, as it was on April 18.

The defendant Nelson Hernandez Rodriguez was wanted on warrants in Massachusetts (Federal narcotics conspiracy indictment) and Delaware. He was arrested in Norwalk, Connecticut and $240,000 found in a hidden compartment of the vehicle he was driving.

The Federal Defender argued ably to get him released, but this will only be after two financial responsible people sign. By then, Delaware may (or may not) have sought to extradite Hernandez Rodriguez.

The case, still not in PACER an hour after the proceeding, is  US v. Hernandez Rodriguez, 22-mj-3526 (Aaron)
