SDNY MAG COURT EXCLUSIVE, April 27-  In the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on April 27, a detention or release proceeding was held by Magistrate Judge Jennifer Willis on a man arrested in connection with a shooting near Lexington Avenue and 125th Street in Harlem on March 31, 2022. He was charged as a felon in possession to Federalize the case.

The Federal Defender emphasized that many people wear Carhartt jackets, and that the 25 year old defendant could move downtown with his father, on the Lower East Side.

The Assistant US Attorney said he could just do the same things down there.

Inner City Press covers the SDNY Magistrates Court as it has The Bronx, sometimes as the only media in the gallery, as it was on April 27.

Judge Willis said this defendant Kodi Glenn was by no means a flight risk, but said that as a danger to the community he must be detained.

This case is US v. Glenn, 22-mj-3742 (Willis)
