By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, June 10 – Elijah Bilal is charged with crack dealing with a gun and causing the death of another: Terrance Martin, by 285 East 156th Street in The Bronx.

On July 20, 2021 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge J. Paul Oetken held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Judge Oetken asked the prosecutors about the status of capital murder policy review at Main Justice.

He set the next proceeding for September 21 and excluded Speedy Trial Act time until then.

Jump cut to June 10, 2022: "ELIJAH BILAL, a/k/a “Karate Kid,” pled guilty today to conspiring to commit a firearms crime in connection with the April 15, 2012 murder of Terrance Martin, 25, in the Bronx, New York.  As part of his plea, BILAL admitted that he murdered Martin.  BILAL pled in the middle of his jury trial before U.S. District Judge J. Paul Oetken.  BILAL also pled guilty to conspiring to tamper with witnesses who were expected to testify against him at trial."

The case is  USA v. Bilal, 19-cr-565 (Oetken)
