In Texas Rail Yard Dispute With BNSF Trial Looming Amid NYC Quarantine Questions

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Sept 10 – TRT has been renting a rail yard in Texas to BNSF Railway Company. Amid complaints about payment, and via a Chicago-based law firm, the case has arrived in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

On September 10 SDNY District Judge Valerie E. Caproni held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

The Chicago based law firm took umbrage at how it had been described; but it was floated that it was the real party in interest.

Talk turned to moving the trial up to October. But some witnesses will come from Canada and would have to be quarantined.

The November date was stuck too, but even for that, quarantine rules will have to be checked.

The case is TRT LeaseCo, LLC v. DGI-BNSF Corp., 20-cv-5257 (Caproni)
