Metropolitan Foods Truck Hit Juarez in The Bronx Now SDNY Case May Go to Magistrate

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, March 14 – Bronx resident Jose Juarez was hit by a vehicle owned by Metropolitan Foods on Brady Avenue on May 8, 2017. He sued.

On March 12, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Vernon S. Broderick held a post-discovery conference. Inner City Press covered it.

Judge Broderick asked if the parties had been discussing settlement.

He asked that they submit a joint letter in a week's time, including if they would consent to referral to a Magistrate for settlement purposes.

The case is Juarez v. Mitchell et al., 19-cv-4874 (Broderick)
