In SDNY Juan Medina Proceeded By Information Through Safety Valve on Fentanyl

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Decrypt - LightRead - Honduras - Source

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Feb 25 -- On April 3, 2019 Adalgisa Montilla was presented on narcotics charges and bailed for $150,000, represented by a compensated / retained lawyer Todd A. Spodek, in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrates Court.

In October 2019 in the came case, Juan Medina was joined to the case and waived his right to be prosecuted by indictment, going forward instead with an information.

On February 25, 2020 before SDNY Judge Andrew L. Carter, with Inner City Press the only one in the gallery, Medina showed up to plead guilty.

He said that in March 2019 he agreed to sell both heroin and fentanyl. He has a plea deal and the safety valve; he will be sentenced on June 29, not in detention. The case is US v. Medina, 19-cr-493 (Carter).
