Simsek Now In Singapore Sues Terrafina For Discrimination But Signs Wrong Docs in SDNY

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, May 19 – Gulcan Simsek has sued Terrafina and its marketing manager Joseph Pagano for discrimination, after being called "Sexy Blonde Russian," she says.

On May 19, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Simsek's lawyer said his client lives in Singapore, and had erred by signing only the red-lined copies of documents.

But, he said, she will be in New York in the next few days and can sign.   Judge Vyskocil said it may be that red-line documents, if signed, count.

She extended the time to restore the action to the Court's calendar to June 9, adding "there will be no further extensions."

The case is Simsek v. Terrafina, L.L.C. et al., 19-cv-7538 (Vyskocil)
