Neilson Charged With Fraudulent Boiler Rooms from Cyprus to Spain Gets Delay to Dec 21

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Maxwell Book
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY MAG COURT EXCLUSIVE, Nov 30 -  In the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on November 28, a detention or bond proceeding  was held by Magistrate Judge Stewart D. Aaron on a white collar defendant charged in a case involving "boiler rooms" in Cyprus, Romania, Spain and Cambodia.

Inner City Press was there, the only media in the Mag Court.

The defendant Scott Steven Neilson, it was said, might be seeking upon release on bond to travel to the United Kingdom. But travel was stricted to the SDNY and EDNY. Scott Steven Neilson was wearing black pants and shirt, and had a retained attorney. He was released on $500,000 bond, secured by $30,000.

In the same case, Daniel Nielson pleaded guilty on September 30, 2022, before District Judge J. Paul Oetken.

Scott Steven Neilson according to the Assistant US Attorney had a proceeding before Judge Oeatken on November 29 at 4pm.

But that was canceled and delay allowed: "MEMO ENDORSEMENT as to Scott Steven Neilson on re: [77] LETTER by USA as to Scott Steven Neilson addressed to Judge J. Paul Oetken from USA dated November 29, 2022 re: Request to Adjourn Status Conference to December 21, 2022. Granted. The November 29, 2022 initial conference is adjourned to December 21, 2022 at 2:30 pm. The Court hereby excludes time through December 21, 2022, under the Speedy Trial Act, 18 USC 3161(h)(7)(A), finding that the ends of justice outweigh the interests of the public and the defendant in a speedy trial. (Signed by Judge J. Paul Oetken on 11/29/2022)."

The case is US v. Neilson, 21-cr-189 (Oetken / Aaron).
