Builder Accused Of Illegal Torch on Bronx Roof Wants More Discovery and Gets It in SDNY

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Dec 14 – Green Builders Group is being sued for damage to a property at 3349 Seymour Avenue in The Bronx.

On December 14 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Lewis J. Liman held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

The defense counsel called in late, and then several times cut in. Judge Liman told him to wait. When he spoke, it was to say there was not proof his client was on the roof of the property, much less using an illegal torch. (The damage is from fire).

While an earlier bid to amend the scheduling order was denied citing Furry Puppet Studio, Inc. v. Fall Out Boy, 19-cv-2345 (LJL), here an extension for some discovery was granted.

The case is United States Liability Insurance Company (USLI) v. Green Builders Group NY Corp., 20-cv-1040 (Liman)
