By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, March 10 –   Back in December James Barbera, the former founder and chief executive officer of a nanotechnology company based in NY, was charged by complaint with securities fraud and wire fraud, stemming from a scheme to defraud investors in the company.

On March 10, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York  Judge John G. Koeltl held an arraignment. Inner City Press covered it.

While Barbera had been released in December on $1,000,000 bond secured by a Central Park West apartment, on March 8 a formal indicted was filed.

He retained two new counsel, and on March 10 pleaded not guilty. The next conference is on June 15.

The case is US v. Barbera, 21-cr-154 (Koeltl)
