Sharbat Sued Iovance Biotherapeutics With Lie to FINRA Cited Now Subpoena Not Quashed

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Nov 16 – Solomon Sharbat sued Iovance Biotherapeutics for "willful failure and refusal to pay fees."

On October 19 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Edgardo Ramos held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Iovance argued that incoming substitute plaintiff's counsel should not be allowed, as he might be a witness.

They wrote, "Plaintiff Sharbat has testified under oath that Mr. Schwartz instructed him to lie in a FINRA enforcement proceeding and physically assaulted him and threatened his life.

On November 16, Judge Ramos held another proceeding. Inner City Press again covered it. There were arguments that Sharbat was not required to make sales, but only connections, under his contract. The defendants' subpoena was not, as FINRA requested, quashed.

The case is  Sharbat et al v. Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc. et al., 20-cv-1391 (Ramos)
