Nunes Sued NBC For Maddow Diss On Derkach Now Both Sides Take Referral to Mediation

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Maxwell Book
BBC-Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN NY Mag

SDNY COURTHOUSE, April 28 – Devin Nunes sued NBCUniversal Media, LLC for things Rachel Maddow said on her show.

On April 28, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge P. Kevin Castel held a brief proceeding. Inner City Press covered it, and live tweeted it, here

The complaint quotes Maddow that "Andriy Derkach is sanctioned by the US government as a Russian agent... Congressman Nunes accepted a package from him."

Then it says "Plaintiff did NOT accept a package from Derkach."

Judge Castel: I understand that the parties have their respective positions, I respect that. But it not a sign of weakness to sit down with a mediator and try to resolve issues. What I can do in this case is I can get you before a court-appointed mediator...

Defense (NBC) - Yes your Honor we'd be prepared to do that.

[Mediation will be more difficult for Inner City Press to cover - but we'll try]

The case is Nunes v. NBCUniversal Media, LLC, 22-cv-1633 (Castel)
