UN Guterres Lust for 2d Term Has Azoulay Echo With Senegal Mouthing Its Support

By Matthew Russell Lee & sources, Exclusive

UN GATE, Feb 17 –In the UN system, corrupt official from Antonio Guterres to Audrey Azoulay at UNESCO try to lock in member states to support them for UNmerited second terms.

At UNESCO the circular letter dated 2 February, by which the President of the General Conference, Ambassador Altay Cengizer, was calling the UNESCO secretariat, led by the French Audrey Azoulay, to respect rules and order, created more than a political turmoil within the Agency.

At the burning request of DG Azoulay, the groups for the European and Arab regions met and addressed ways of possible retaliation. However, all those pathetic “revenge” brainchildren of Azoulay have been quickly dropped, following the article of Inner City Press revealing her plans (here).

After painfully digesting the “disloyalty” of countries like Germany, Finland, the UK, Switzerland, Jordan, Tunisia or Morocco, Azoulay remembered that she can always count upon her inveterate African devotees such as the Senegalese Ambassador to UNESCO, Souleymane Jules Diop.

[Inner City Press has covered the corruption of the Senegal Mission to the UN in New York, here.]

At her immediate instruction, Mr Diop signed a letter by which he is setting new standards of post-colonial grovelling before the French DG Azoylay.

To realize how pitiful the Senegalese ambassadors is, it is enough to compare his letter (here) with the letter sent by Japan for instance (here).

Probably, the difference on the form and on the substance is also due to the fact that, according to witnesses, the Senegalese letter of support to Azoulay has been drafted in her Cabinet and then presented to the ambassador for signature as per the good traditions of FrancAfrique.

This is not the first time when Mr Souleymane Diop is abasing himself in order to please the French. Last year, during the debate on “Priority Africa”, when the discussion reached the controversial item on the objectives set by the Africa Union with regard to the repatriation of all African cultural heritage, the position of the ambassador of Senegal in Paris differed radically from the official position of the national authorities of Senegal in Dakar.  Unlike the ambassador, the Senegalese government is fully in favor of the unconditional repatriation of their stolen cultural heritage. T

herefore, the support to the French position by the ambassador of Senegal, Souleymane Diop, came as a surprise for most African delegations, since no one ever expected that a former Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister of Senegal would dare going publicly against the position of his own government as directed by the President Macky Sall.

The question is what are the personal benefits for the ambassador of Senegal in behaving against the positions of his own government in order to please the French DG. There is clearly a private hidden agenda behind the game of the Ambassador”, said a source inside the Africa group to Inner City Press. “France is using him too much in their political conspiracies and he will definitely face difficult times ahead”. Ohers were blunter in their assessment: “During the debate on Priority Africa, the Ambassador of Senegal got politically ‘carbonized’ by France for no gain at all. If they continue doing so, soon there will be no support left in the African group for their DG reelection plans”.

The debate on Priority Africa also demonstrated the intellectual inability of ADG Matoko to defend the political orientation fixed by his boss Azoulay. Supposed to retire and leave the Paris based Agency, he “kept demonstrating his high standards of brain-sterility and docile incompetence. Clearly, ADG Matoko is not an asset to this administration”, said an ambassador usually sympathetic to the French regime. “They are losing it all”.

Even so, by supporting and praising regularly the nonexistent work done by the French DG Azoulay, ambassadors of EU member states, Nordic countries and those from the former colonial French-Africa, corroborated their taste for “swimming” in the “cesspool”.   This is where UNESCO stands today, a Zombie-land propitious to the flourishing of corruption, embezzlement, abuse of power and nepotism.

This is Antonio Guterres' UN - corrupt colonialism. We will have more on that. Watch this site.
