UN Staff Probed As Re-Tweet Whistleblower, 30 NGOs Write Guterres, China Given Names

By Matthew Russell Lee Exclusive Patreon Song
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, August 17 – How corrupt and undemocratic is today's United Nations? They sent Swiss police to the house of whistleblower Emma Reilly who timely filed to oppose a second term for Antonio Guterres, as did Inner City Press, which remains banned with the UN refusing to even response to a law firm's polite letter seeking reinstatement, video here.

They are taking steps to fire Reilly, claiming that it is irrelevant whether or not OHCHR shared the names of Uighur dissidents coming to testify in Geneva with the Chinese government for worse forms of retaliation. This is the disgusting UN of Guterres.

Also this - more UN censorship and surveillance, mimicking the dictatorship the UN under Guterres is only pretending to condemn:

"From: Emma Reilly Date: 15 August 2021 at 11:26:30 CEST To: POLLARD Catherine <pollardc@un.org> Cc: Martha Helena Lopez <lopez22@un.org>, AG <ag@un.org> Subject: UN investigation of non-staff members  Dear Ms Pollard,  In your "investigation", you ordered "investigators" to "investigate" the Twitter accounts of individuals who retweet my factually accurate statements about what the UN claims in court is an ongoing and public policy.  Could you kindly provide the rule that permits the UN to investigate the actions of non-staff members? If not, what mandate allows the UN to investigate private citizens without the knowledge of consent of member states? Does the UN routinely open investigations into private citizens (as far as I'm aware - I've only ever spoken in my own name, having endured years of false accusations and defamation) who criticize it or debate the correctness of its policies? If you could provide information on how many such investigations have been conducted in the past five years, and what percentage of those concerned journalists or other individuals who reported on persons who reported misconduct, that would be greatly appreciated.  I note once again my objection to being constantly blamed by UN managers for the actions of third parties - I remind you that I tried to kill this story in 2017, and can prove that. It was the UN that elected to bring it into the public domain by lying about me in a press release that remains uncorrected.  Regards, Emma Reilly."

Inner City Press published the above, and asked UN Spokespeople Dujarric and Melissa Fleming about it - no answer. Now this letter from these NGOs: Access Info Europe African Centre for Media & Information Literacy (Nigeria) AWTAD Anti-Corruption Organization (Yemen) Blueprint for Free Speech Campax (Switzerland) Centre for Free Expression (Canada) Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives - CPDI (Pakistan) Centre for Research in Employment and Work, University of Greenwich (United Kingdom) European Federation of Journalists - EFJ European Organisation of Military Associations and Trade Unions - EUROMIL GlobaLeaks Government Accountability Project (USA) Osservatorio Balcani Caucaso Transeuropa (Italy) Pištaljka (Serbia) Protect (United Kingdom) SpeakOut SpeakUp Ltd (United Kingdom) The Coalition for Accountability and Integrity - AMAN (Transparency Palestine) The Ethicos Group (Australia) The Ethicos Group (France) The Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation (Malta) The Signals Network (USA / France) Transparency International Bulgaria Transparency International Cambodia Transparency International Ireland Transparency International Italia Transparency International Macedonia Transparency International Secretariat Whistleblowing Canada Research Society (Canada) WBN - Whistleblower-Netzwerk (Germany) Whistleblowing International Network Xnet (Spain)

Guterres has stolen a second five-year term, while banning the Press for the 1225th day for daring to ask about his finances and failures; he has collaborators.

The current President of the General Assembly Volkan Bozkir, a strongman from Turkey who due to his bigoted comments even pro-UN New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio wouldn't meet with, had the duty of circulating letters from candidates.

But throughout February 2021 (and since) Bozkir refused to circulate the letter of UN staffer candidate Arora Akanksha.

Bozkir's spokesman Brendan Varma, who blocks Inner City Press on Twitter, continued to dance around what the rules are and won't answer.

So, as a test - and to raise the issue of the UN's lack of content neutral media access rules, lack of a Freedom of Information Act (fought for the Free UN Coalition for Access) and lack of scruples - Inner City Press on the morning of February 26 submitted a signed letter and C.V. to the PGA's Office and to Varma.  Since then, dodging and blockage, now of six

Subject: Application for post of Secretary-General
To: opga@un.org, tegan.brink@un.org, usun.newyork
Matthew R. Lee (@InnerCityPress / @MatthewLeeICP)

Your Excellencies,   Kindly find attached my application for the post of Secretary-General, along with a document outlining accountability gaps that serves as my vision statement.  As I note in my cover letter, I intend this application to raise necessary questions about UN reform, ensuring that election by acclamation is not abused to further weaken accountability of UN staff who commit misconduct.  I look forward to hearing from you.  Kind regards, Emma Reilly.

And how did Emma Reilly hear back from the UN of Guterres? She says they sent Swiss Police to her home, ironically while she was supposed to be on a Zoom meeting about whistleblowers, see here.

It's called swatting. This is how corrupt the UN has become under Guterres, who Emma Reilly says should resign. Inner City Press - and many others - agree. Watch this site.
