SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Sept 16 – A man arrested with
$360,000 cash in a bag in his
car came on September 16 to
plead guilty before U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Analisa Torres. Inner
City Press was there, the only
media in the courtroom. Thread:
He is pleading to
concealment money laundering
for drug trafficking
conspiracy
Judge: Other than
what is in the plea agreement,
any other inducement?
Zalusky: No. I
picked up money for an
undisclosed co-conspirator, to
hide the owner of the money. I
plead guilty
Judge: How did it
work? Zalusky: Over Telegram,
I was offered a percentage.
AUSA: He was
stopped with $360,000 in cash
then misspoke to law
enforcement. It was for
fentanyl.
Judge: I accepted
the guilty plea. Sentencing is
set for Jan 21, 2025.
Then
defense counsel said his
client expected the birth of
his second child in late
January or February.
Judge Torres
agreed to push his sentencing
back to March 2, 2025 at 11
am.
The case
is US v. Zalusky,
23-cr-241 (Torres)
