COURTHOUSE,
Aug 2 – A woman arrested on
July 11, 2024 driving in The
Bronx with 4 kilos of heroin
was indicted on August 2. With
retained counsel she pled not
guilty before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Gary Stein.
Inner City Press was there,
the only media in the SDNY Mag
court.
Pre-indictment,
the complaint has photos of
the package found in her car,
and glassine envelopes within.
She has been indicted alone,
without reference to the wider
conspiracy alluded to in the
complaint. She is next due to
appear before the assigned
District Judge Denise L. Cote
on August 20 at 11 am.
The case is US v.
Valdez, 24-cr-448 (Cote /
Stein)
