Southern
District of
New York on March 9,
a bail or
detention
proceeding was
held by
Magistrate
Judge James
L. Cott
on a man who
pled guilty to
dealing
crack in 2018
and was
sentenced to
30 months in
prison. Now he
has been detained
on an alleged
violation of
supervised
release.

The
defendant,
with two US
Marshals
behind him,
was in a
yellow prison
jump suit.
The
Assistant US
Attorney said
his Office was
asking for
detention. The
appointed CJA
lawyer said he
would consent
to detention -
without
prejudice.
District Judge
Ronnie Abrams,
who sentenced
Tyquan Dupont
in 2018 in a
multi-defendant
case, was said
to be prepared
to hold the
next
proceeding in
the first week
of April.
