SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
April 24 – For a cocaine
importation conspiracy
spanning Colombia, The Bronx
and Philadelphia, a defendant
pled guilty on March 20 before
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Katherine Polk Faila.
Inner City Press is covering
the case.
Already nearly $100,000 was
seized from him by law
enforcement on January 11,
2024 "in the vicinity of 4640
Third Avenue, Bronx, New
York." His co-defendant pled
guilty and has been sentenced
to 33 months in prison.
Now he
pled guilty to Count 1. Judge
Failla asked, The folks with
whom you had this agreement,
may I understand that they
were regular people and not
law enforcement
officers? The
defendant replied, Regular
people.
Judge
Failla said, "I got burned in
another plea with that. Thank
you." Sentencing is set
for July 8.
The case
is USA v. Colon, et al.,
1:24-cr-211 (Failla)
