SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Aug 2 – Four men were indicted
in a narcotics conspiracy. One
pleaded guilty on July 27,
2023. The other three appeared
on September 13 before U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Edgardo Ramos.
One was in
detention, in the jury box
with Marshall. The other two
were in the gallery, with
Inner City Press.
The man in
the jury box, Derrick
Reynolds, may face a
superseding indictment for
violence.
The other two
were said to be nearing guilty
pleas. In fact, defendant
Jumel Hayes set a date for a
plea, October 14 at 4:30
pm.
On November 29,
on defendant Michael Thomas,
the US Attorney's Office wrote
in seeking a sentence within
the 27 to 33 month Guideline.
On January 10,
2024, for co-defendant Solomon
Hayes, his lawyer asked for
three years probation, on a
guideline of 27 to 33 months.
Hayes in fact got
probation on January 24. On
August 2 on lead defendant
Jumel Lloyd, the US Attorney's
Office and asked for 57 months
on August 6 at 10 am.
