After an August 17, 2023
shooting in Newburgh, New York
Jerry Holmes was arrested in
Poughkeepsie on August 30 with
a loaded gun, crack and
thousands of dollars in cash,
according to
prosecutors.
Holmes
consented to detention in the
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
in White Plains, which Inner
City Press also covered.
On November 9,
Holmes' counsel's arguments
for release on bail were
denied by Magistrate Judge
Victoria Reznik.
On November 14,
his case was indicted, but not
yet wheeled out to a District
Judge.
The case is US v.
Holmes, 23-cr-590 (Reznik)
