BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Nov 19 – The president of Equatorial Guinea has been sued for reneging on an agreement to pay Guychristian Agbor to try to bring the Miss Universe pagent to Malabo.

The case is assigned to U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York  Magistrate Judge Robert W. Lehburger. Inner City Press is covering it.

Agbor also alleged he bought cell phones for Presidential Advisor Cougan Champion Armando, and arranged for Obiang's wife to attend a Miss Universe event in Las Vegas.

On December 4 Judge Lehrburger ordered that discovery is stayed pending determination of Obiang's motion to dismiss.

The case is Agbor v. Presidency of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea et al., 18-cv-8611 (Engelmayer / Lehrburger)
