COURTHOUSE,
Aug 19 – A self-described
brand safety consultant sued
American Airlines and others
for using her photograph
without her consent.
On August
19 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Jed S. Rakoff held a
conference. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Rakoff asked which of the
defendants would be making
motions, about personal
jurisdiction and other
grounds. Many spoke up,
including American Airlines
saying an incorrect subsidiary
of its was named.
It was
resolved that the plaintiff
will file an amended complaint
by August 23 with motions due
by August 30, followed by oral
argument on September 27,
in-person. If the case
survives, the trial will be in
January 2025.
The case is
Jammi v. American Airlines
Group, Inc. et al., 24-cv-4854
(Rakoff)
