SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 29 – Emile Anderson was
sentenced to 66 months in
prison in a multi-defendant
drug case in 2017.
On
September 29, 2023 he was
brought before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Ona T. Wang
on alleged violations of
supervised release. Inner City
Press was there, the only
media in the SDNY Mag
court.
The AUSA ran
through violations, in cars,
in Illinois and elsewhere, and
ask that he be detained. His
new CJA lawyer cited work at
the / a Elevate Lounge, and on
batteries.
Judge Wang
ordered him detained pending
seeing District Judge Lewis A.
Kaplan (the day before the SBF
trial).
Back in the
holding cell, there was a
shouting noise.
On November 7,
his lawyer wrote in in advance
of a November 15 VOSR
sentencing and asked for time
served, saying "he has a job
waiting for him at the Elevate
Lounge and also wants to
attend trade school."
The overall
case is US v. Parrish, et al.,
16-cr-212 (Kaplan / Wang)
