SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 8 – Harold McKinney was
arrested and charged with
having four kilos of narcotics
and a loaded gun in a car he
parked on Amsterdam Avenue in
Manhattan.
On September 6,
2023 he was presented before
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Valerie
Figueredo. Inner City Press
was there, the only media in
the SDNY Mag court.
The
Federal Defender emphasized
that he is 50 and that his
wife earns $100,000 a year.
Judge
Figueredo ordered release on
bond. But the AUSA asked for a
stay to appeal to Part 1. It
was granted.
And on September
8, release was reversed and
McKinney detained for trial: "
Minute Entry for proceedings
held before Judge Jennifer H.
Rearden: Bail Appeal Hearing
as to Harold McKinney held on
9/8/2023. Defendant Harold
McKinney present. Bail appeal
hearing held. Defendant is
ordered detained pending
trial."
The case is US v.
McKinney, 23-mj-6310
(Figueredo / Rearden)
