SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 9 – A defendant named
Hamdollah Shadmanmehr was
arrested in New York at 9 am
on November 9, 2023 on a
warrant from the federal court
in the Western District of
Texas.
Shadmanmehr
appeared at 6 pm before U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah
Netburn. Inner City Press was
there, the only media in the
SDNY Mag Court.
Represented by Federal
Defenders, Shadmanmehr
consented to detention. The
AUSA said that the District
Judge in WDTX has set a
November 16 conference - but
it is unclear if Shadmanmehr
will make it there by then,
particularly if he is
transported through Oklahoma.
The case is
US v. Shadmanmehr, 23-mj-7149
(Netburn)
