SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 13 – Brandon Santanoo, a
former worker at the NYC Law
Department, was arrested on
November 13 for allegedly
stealing and depositing checks
sent to the Law Department.
He
was presented and released on
$75,000 bond in the U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrates Court, which Inner
City Press covers most
closely.
The
Complaint says at the NYC
Department of Investigation
identified 40 checks, worth
$600,000 that were diverted.
One sample was sent from a law
firm in Melville, for over
$15,000.
A search
warrant was signed in the SDNY
Mag Court, with identifying
information still unavailable,
on March 8, 2023.
The case is
US v. Santanoo, 23-mj-7139
