by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Nov 13 – Brandon Santanoo, a former worker at the NYC Law Department, was arrested on November 13 for allegedly stealing and depositing checks sent to the Law Department.

He was presented and released on $75,000 bond in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrates Court, which Inner City Press covers most closely.

The Complaint says at the NYC Department of Investigation identified 40 checks, worth $600,000 that were diverted. One sample was sent from a law firm in Melville, for over $15,000.

A search warrant was signed in the SDNY Mag Court, with identifying information still unavailable, on March 8, 2023.

The case is US v. Santanoo, 23-mj-7139 (Lehrburger)
