SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 3 – Franklin Nunez in
2014 was sentenced to 42
months in prison by then U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
District Judge Richard J.
Sullivan.
On June 2,
2023, Nunez appeared in
custody before now Circuit
Judge Sullivan on a Violation
of Supervised Release. Inner
City Press was there.
Judge
Sullivan ran through Nunez'
history of drug addiction, and
agreed that he should serve
only 13 more days in prison,
then six months of in-patient
drug treatment.
Nunez said thank
you, and seemed to mean it.
Judge Sullivan said let's not
do this again, I hope I see
you in the street and we get a
slice of pizza.
