May 5 – A man sentenced to two
years for bank fraud in April
2021 was arrested as a felon
in possession of a firearm on
East Tremont Avenue in The
Bronx on July 20, 2024.
On April
7, 2025, he came to pled
guilty before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Gary Stein in
the SDNY Mag court, which
Inner City Press closely
covers.
The
complaint recounts him fleeing
into a barbershop and throwing
away the gun, all on video.
Sentencing was set before the
District Judge on September
10.
