May 15 – Angel
Villafane and
Jason Rivera
are in
detention,
charged in a
case involving
drugs, guns
and murder for
hire.
On
May 12, 2023,
U.S. District
Court for the
Southern
District of
New York Judge
Victor Marrero
held a
proceeding.
Inner City
Press went and
covered it.
Villafane's
lawyer
complained he
is not able to
access his
discovery.
Rivera's
lawyer said
that in his
previous
facility he
was told he
might have a
cancerous
grown but now
he can't get
medical
treatment.
Judge Marrero
ordered a
status letter
in a
week.
