Crash on Cross Bronx Inches Toward Trial But Judge Says 5 Days Would Be Too Long

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Nov 4 – On the Cross Bronx Expressway on April 10, 2021, the car Aichatou Conde was in was stuck by a vehicle owned by Avila Transportation LLC. Injury and a law suit ensued.

On November 4 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Judge Vyskocil set a limit on the time to join any more parties - 30 days - and set the next conference for March 9, 2022.

The parties said their trial would take five days; Judge Vyskocil said that is unrealistically long.

The case is Conde v. Avila Transportation, 21-cv-3685 (Vyskocil)
