EXCLUSIVE, Feb 26 - In
the U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York on December 7, a
detention or bond proceeding
was begun by Magistrate Judge
Valerie Figueredo on a
defendant extradited in from
Panama the day before on narco
trafficking charges.

The
defendant was Gerardo
Jaramillo-Aleman; his
co-defendant was detained on
consent back on July 22, 2022.
Jaramillo-Aleman
also consented
to detention,
pending an
appearance
before the
assigned
District Judge
Richard M.
Berman on
January 10,
2023.
Jump
cut to August
15 when Bedoya-Guevara
pled guilty in
the SDNY
Magistrate Court.
On
February 11,
2025 his
lawyer wrote in
asking for 50
months.
On
February 26 he
was sentenced
to 74 months
in prison,
with
recommendation
for Coleman or
another
facility that
has the UNICOR
program.
