SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 12 –
John Roesser, an attorney, was
indicted for filing false bank
records in this own bankruptcy
case, to keep driving his
Aston Martin Rapide sports
car, among other things.
On
September 12, 2023, he came to
plead guilty before U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Analisa Torres. Inner
City Press was there.
Judge
Torres noted that Roesser has
also pled guilty in state
court, to improperly
"converting" the escrow of a
home sale.
Roesser, speaking
for himself, said it was the
sale of his mother's house to
a family friend, that he left
the friend use the escrow "but
then he died."
In this case, he admitted
falsifying records to make it
appear he had $9.5 million he
didn't have. The plea deal is
for 18 to 24 months. Sentence
was set for January 16 at 1
pm.
