SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Sept 11 – A man sentenced to
125 months in prison in 2014
reappeared on September 11,
2024 before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave
on a violation of supervised
release. Inner City Press was
there, the only media in the
SDNY Mag court.
The state
charge, Judge Cave said, was
assault and "criminal
obstruction of breathing."
One CJA
lawyer stood in for another,
and consented to detention, at
least until the moved-up
appearance before the District
Judge, Richard M.
Berman.
In earlier
in 2024 Judge Berman asked the
AUSA, You are angry... You are
angry that he doesn't abide by
the rules."
The AUSA said he
"has completely disregarded
the rules for living in a
halfway house, which is not a
hotel."
The case
is US v. Harrell, 13-cr-416
(Berman / Cave)
