COURTHOUSE,
April 24 – For distributing
drugs in Yonkers two men were
the subject of a criminal
complaint signed on September
12, 2024 by the Chief
Magistrate Judge of the U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York,
which Inner City Press covers
closely.
One of the
defendants appeared before the
assigned District Judge on
March 25, 2025, and Inner City
Press went. Brady demands were
reiterated and a briefing
scheduled was set, beginning
with defense motions by May 2,
and a hearing or ruling on
June 25.
The other
defendant, though, had the
complaint against him
dismissed in November, after
the AUSA asked for more time.
The case
is USA v. Taveras, et al.,
1:25-cr-10 (Berman)
