Samsung Is Sued For Patent Infringement Now Must Says If Willing to Mediate By Oct 22

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Oct 19 – Kannuu Pty, Ltd. sued Samsung for patent infringement but the case has been stayed.

On October 19 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Edgardo Ramos held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

At issue is Kannuu's '852 patent entitled "Process and Apparatus for Selecting an Item from a Database." Judge Ramos asked why he would keep the case stayed.

There was a lengthy answer and request for until the end of the week to reach Samsung in South Korea. By Friday Samsung must say if they are willing to mediate.

The case is Kannuu Pty Ltd. v. Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. et al., 19-cv-4297 (Ramos)
