April 11 – Amid reports of
investigation against Sen.
Robert Menendez for taking
gold bars, Inner City Press'
sources on September 21 it to
expect on Friday, September 22
an appearance in Federal court
in Manhattan by Menendez and
his wife Nadine Arslanian, now
facing trial alone. This
scoop
was true.
Later a

selection, late on March 21
the jury was selected - them

despite when Bob Menendez's
counsel said in asking to
delay his sentencing, Bob was
nowhere to be seen...
But on March 25,
he and his co-defendant got
surrender delayed to May 19:
"ORDER as to Robert Menendez,
Wael Hana, Fred Daibes.
Defendants shall surrender for
service of their sentences at
the institution designated by
the Bureau of Prisons on or
before 2:30 pm on May 19,
2025.
On March 31 there
was ex USDA official Ted
McKinney (thread)
then an FBI Agent with Gurbir
Grewal and then Jose Uribe on
deck.
But the trial was
canceled on April 1 (fever)
and again on April 2.
Meanwhile "as to Jose
Uribe....ENDORSEMENT...The
sentencing is adjourned to
September 4, 2025.

trial resumed, ending with
Uribe still on direct,
describing mortgage payments
by Hana and his payments on

On April 8 Nadine
Menendez' lawyer got to cross
examination Uribe about his
cooperation deal, thread.
Then, rushed, another witness.
On April 9 the
prosecution put on a witness
from Asahi Refining about gold
bars and serial numbers, then
another witness about
currency.
Early on April 10
Nadine Menendez' lawyer wrote
in that the US Attorney's
Office is opposing the
introduction of evidence it
allowed in Bob Menendez's
trial, and other issues -

for the District of New Jersey
Philip Sellinger testified
about being recused from the
Daibes case and then Bob
Menendez skipping his
investiture in Trenton. Thread.
