SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 13 – In the midst of the
war in Gaza, with the UN
failing as on Ukraine, the
tragic corruptions is mirrored
in farce at the UN
Correspondents
Association. On December
15 they are charging a minimum
of $150 a plate for a glitzy
fete of Antonio Guterres at
"Casa Cipriani" at 10 South
Street in lower Manhattan.
After not
a single UNCA correspondent
asked about the Gaza protest
at the $15 million mansion
Guterres lives in, they are
giving their highest award to
Sharon Stone, herself the
target of BDS protest. No
principles, just money and
access.
And now an art
gallery in Greenwich,
Connecticut is pitching that
press that "Sharon Stone is
being honored as the Global
Citizen of the Year at the
2023 United Nations UNCA
Awards on Dec. 15" - now they
claim it is a "United Nations"
award. Name and SG for sale.
From the
"special price" invite,
forwarded to Inner City Press
by disgusted recipients: "UNCA
members in good standing with
their dues can purchase a
maximum of ONE (1) ticket at
the special discounted price
of $150. December 15th at Casa
Cipriani 10 South Street in
New York, Sharon Stone will be
the recipient of the 2023 UNCA
Global Citizen of the Year
Award. UNICEF USA Ambassador
Sofia Carson will receive the
2023 Global Advocate of the
Year Award. Chairman of
Edizione S.P.A. Alessandro
Benetton will be awarded the
2023 Global Advocate of the
Year prize."
On December 4
while not asking about the
UAE's corruption of the COP or
Guterres' other failings, UNCA
hard-sold guest tickets for
$150, "If you wish to pay with
cash or check, you can do so
in person Monday, Dec. 4, and
Tuesday, Dec. 5. Reservations
or holds will not be accepted
and tickets will not be sold
at the discounted rate after
Dec. 5." Just like Guterres
and CEFC: Cash on the barrel.
Cash sales...
Meanwhile UNCA beyond being
complicit in the ouster and
ban of Inner City Press from
the UN played an active role,
with UNCA members complaining
to and through their point of
contact Stephane Dujarric. A
symbiosis of sleaze and
censorship. We'll have more on
this.
