SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 12 – The UN is failing
under Antonio Guterres - one
measure is that even France's
Macron and the UK prime
minister are not coming to
this UNGA week.
But beyond
failing, it is being bought.
Not only by China, through
Guterres, but by corporations.
Consider:
A September
14 event billed as about youth
is in fact sponsored byUNIQLO
and the Davines Group,
describing itself as "an
international beauty company"
- this promoted by the UN
Correspondents Association.
UNCA has
also promoted a pharmaceutical
industry group:
"UNCA is
extending an invitation to
abriefing organized by the
International Federation of
Pharmaceutical Manufacturers
& Associations (IFPMA) to
share the pharmaceutical
industry’s perspectives"
This while
critical Inner City Press
remains banned by the UN, with
Guterres' Melissa Fleming not
even acting on its June 19
application to enter to cover
UNGA. And UNCA is complicit.
