UN GATE,
Feb 13 – How corrupt is
today's UN under Antonio
Guterres? Today's follow up is
yet once again on his mission
in Colombia, about which his
spokespeople Stephane Dujarric
and Melissa Fleming refuse all
Press questions. Inner City
Press has asked them, and
others, about the newest sex
abuse case against the UN
there. Now this, from a UN
whistleblower sent to Inner
City Press:
Dear Matthew Russell Lee,
It is with continuing staff outrage that we
are reading the posts on the UN's mission in
Columbia. The stark reality is that the
Department of Support and Office of Human
Resources Management continues to interfere
with and manipulate the UN the recruiting
process.
No thought is given to the fact that staff
need to report to these senior appointees, and
large amounts of money are in play. The
shocking tendency is to put non-swimmers in
the lifeguard chair. The senior leaders
are trading favors to secure their long term
employment, with too many now at a decade in
the job. The system is being owned by a
handful of careerist. This is not what
the UN Charter envision and is causing system
failure.
It's shameful in almost all l
missions. Pronounced now in UNVMC, after
the last legitimate and well regarded CMS
left. This is the case with both staff
mentioned, one whom has made a career by
causing such difficulties, she is promoted out
of the way, one riding on the support of their
Government and deep political
connections.
Field Personnel Division is
worse. A letter was received here many
years ago which placed a stop recruit on the
Present FSU President. This was
buried by someone who has become notorious for
such deceit.
It did not go unnoticed that the FSU
President sent out a UN wide email thanking
everyone for voting for him. More
lies. The truth is that there was no vote.
Nobody was willing to run and deal with the UN
senior leadership. SG Guterres is making
the UN irrelevant.
We'll have
more on all this. Keep the info
coming.
